Hey! im now walking on norte, but thinking of going down to join frances!

but i wanna see the altamira cave at least, so i will continue to santillana del mar!

how can i join frances from santillana? just take a bus to leon? is there bus?

i searched alsa. and they say santillana. not santillana del mar. is it same?

i have to finish before 24th july. othere than that, i have no other conditions!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Just keep walking through the twon to the outskirts and you will find the tourist office tucked away near the road. I am sure they will be able to tell you when and where buses etc go. You will have to go out to there anyway as there are none of those kind of vehicles allowed in the town (just local service vehicles). That is also the way to the caves. It is an easy and pleasant walk out to them (there is a path all the way, from memory, and there is a place where you can leave your pack in the building. You will find that it is well worth going to pay a visit there. The caves you visit though are replicas of the orignals - but the whole set up is quite fascinating.

Every Blessing Sabina!
You are probably right in going down to the Frances! You should be able to get a bus to Leon (or Burgos if you have the time and energy to walk the Frances from there). Janet is right - ask the Oficina de Tourismo in Santillana. I have been down the caves at Altamira twice in past years. There is a poster from there framed and on the wall of our dining area here in our house in the U.K. I gather the reproduction there is impressive, so enjoy!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Lovely albergue in Santillana, in the grounds of the museum showing the work of Jose Otero, a 20C scupltor, which I really liked! Don't miss it, or the amazing capitals etc in the church and cloisters. You get millenia of art at Santillana!

Thanks very much always!

i think i will take a train from here(Zumaia) to bilbao, and then hopefully the weather will get better, then continue my walk to santillana and go to the cave, and then going down to join frances!

in zumaia, one new albergue just opened 3 weeks ago, they are so frendly, and i just met someone who already did frances 3 times, we talked about it and now i really wanna go down to see frances route too even though it will be crowded!

but norte is beautiful too! weather is abit.... hmmmmmmmmm
but today i bought new rain cover? pancho? and more clothes to warm me up, new shoes.

yes, i think this bad weather was just testing me if i willl give up or not :)

buen camino!
