St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Take the once daily Amaya bus to Burgos. There is frequent ALSA bus service Burgos to Bilbao.

Or, Renfe train to Palencia or Valladolid. Then from either Palencia or Valladolid to Bilbao. These options use different routes with different frequency of service.

The Renfe website won't give information for Fromista to Bilbao. The website gives information for Fromista to Palencia or Valladolid and then from Palencia or Valladolid to Bilbao.

Or, train (or taxi) to Osorno to catch the 0930 Guerrerobus to Burgos.

There are other permutations possible. The trick is to get from Fromista to a major center like Burgos or Palencia.

My husband and I did this same thing last June. We caught the bus early in the morning in Fromista and took it to Burgos where we got another bus to Bilbao
We were there by early afternoon.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
