Go Norte, Primitivo and Francé

Hey everyone out there. Did the Camino this July Sjpdp-Santiago and it gave me a lot of understanding about that Camino is'nt the way it self but for me it is a way to live. Taking care of those in need, push people that are tired and give what you have either its food, water or knowledge. Is it possible to DO a triple 2019 and walk Norte, in to primitivo and then in to France around Sarria? I loved Francé but i Think it was too comercial from Sarria to Santiago. I loved Galicia and the solitude in the mountains. There for i want to know if i can walk all 3 and end in Fisterre. Would love is someone have the answers if its possible to combine.

High Viking! The Norte into the Primitivo is definitely very good. But, if you did not like the Francés from Sarria to Santiago, why join it round Sarria?

Because thats the Only way i know to Santiago. But i am Open to guidance how to go down to Fisterre. Can i go via Norte, Primitivo and maybe some other way to Fisterre?

I have never done the Frances - yet. All the others seem to join the Frances eventually with the exception of the Portugues, Ingles and Sanabres. Now I come to think of it, isn't there the so-called camino de invierno? How does that go? I do not have the knowledge, and o not have the time right now to reasearch it.

Peregrina2000, you have so much knowledge of the camino - can you help?

PS I remember that somewhere between Lugo and Melide, at San Romao da Retorta, there is an alternative towards Friol called Via Romana, according to my Spanish Guide, which meets the Norte at Sobrado. The Norte meets the Frances at Arzua which leaves very little of the Francis to Santiago.

PS I remember that somewhere between Lugo and Melide, at San Romao da Retorta, there is an alternative towards Friol called Via Romana, according to my Spanish Guide, which meets the Norte at Sobrado. The Norte meets the Frances at Arzua which leaves very little of the Francis to Santiago.

I walked this route in the spring. It worked just fine, but was a lot of asphalt!

I did exactly that route this year in April and May. The first week along Del Norte is next to tourist destinations but nonetheless extraordinarily beautiful with plenty of beaches etc. The rest of the way is true authentic with no trace of commercialism, except when the Primitivo at Melide connected to the Frances where it becomes a zoo once more.

Hello Viking I have been planning my First Camino for the fall 2018 and might have a alternate way you might be interested in trying. I learned it from "notion900" on the forum . Here is the address :

This takes you from Lugo , by-passes Melide and Arzua , finally connecting to the French route at A Brea . Only one night and day on the French.
If you try it before I do , I would like to know how you fared .

Another way to avoid the Frances - when you reach Lugo on the Primitivo, take a bus/train or whatever to Ferrol and arrive in Santiago via the Camino Ingles (Ferrol-Santiago).
