Does anybody know if the Heart Way Pilgrim House is open? I'm trying to find lodging in Areias/Villa Verde.

The Gronze listing shows it as Cerrado temporalmente. I spoke to the owners last year, briefly, on the phone and when I passed the place and they were outside. They gave no indication that they intended to reopen. I ended up staying at Quinta dos Templarios, which was a bit expensive, but I didn't have the energy at that stage to go much further.

Go to the Orbitur camping in Angeiras. They rent cheap summerhouses on the camping site for pilgrims. Advised to reserve in advance
You can't get the pilgrim rate (16€ last year) if you book in advance. I showed up around noon last May and had no problem, and plenty of other pilgrims arrived after I did.

That seems to be on the other side of Porto. Were you thinking there would be somewhere closer to Portela de Vila Verde?
