Hello everyone!

I just joined this forum tonight from Calgary, Alberta. I am 33 years old and at an important transition in my life. It's crazy that it has taken me this many years to realize that I need to be happy on my own without a significant other - but I have finally learned the lesson!

My reason for doing the Camino is to gain independance. To rely on only myself. I will be doing the trail solo and I am really looking forward to the experience. I have to admit I'm a bit scared because I have never travelled on my own before and I've never been to a destination over seas that isn't a resort!

I am excited to visit this well travelled road where I know I will be successful in "finding myself"

Hi again, Colette, and welcome, pilgrim :!:

You know, funny thing, I started my first Caminos searching for something specific and I turned out to "find" something totally diff.

Suggestion: give in to the experience, unconditionally.
