Hi Henri , we both begin with something different on Friday . You will begin your Pilgrimage to Santiago and I will begin voluntering in "de huiskamer van de lage landen " in Santiago.

Wish you a wonderful time and a Buen Camino , Peter .

Hello Peter!
Lucky pilgrims!
I also look forward to starting!
Needed to change some clothes as the weather is warming up, and I want to keep the weight of the rucksack as low as possible. Should be fine: the forum posts are most helpful.
Our paths will cross one day!
Henri

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
@Moj Hi, I also start from Leon. My 1st day there will be 7th May but I plan to look around city and relax a bit, then start walking on 8th. Buen Camino.

We shall start our first Camino on 1st.May also. Welcome to say hello and Buen Camino with us if you see a five-lady group who every backpack sticks Taiwanese flag label.

Hello LGY ... great to meet you. We are also going to enjoy Leon on the 7th and start our walk on the 8th. Staying at Covent Garden Hostel. I've read a few threads about catching a bus out of Leon to La Virgen del Camino to avoid a good bit of the Leon city exit which apparently can be challenging and starting the walk roughly 7 kms out of the city. Can anyone verify this? And then contemplate taking the scenic route to Villar de Mazarife and avoid the highway traffic. Hope to see see you along the path. Buen Camino.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi @Moj

Yeah, the walk out of Leon isn't the most beautiful. Funnily enough I was just looking into this for a friend. There's a bus that leaves from near the rail staion on Calle de Astorga. It leaves at 35 mins past each hour and is the "A1 Trobajo La Virgen" route and will take you to Virgen del Camino about 7km out of town.

@Moj have a Buen Camino and look out for a girl in bright green jacket (me!).

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Dorpie...thanks so much with the bus info. I will likely be doing this. this is most helpful. Gracias!

Hi LGY, I'll be in a pink rain jacket if it rains or is windy. Green Talon backpack and with me a lady with a blue backpack. We'll look out for you. Buen Camino.
