Jorge, thanks for replying, I arrive in Lisbon on the Sunday and at the moment I am planning to walk out along the park on the Monday to the youth hostel, this should make the next day a bit shorter.

Thanks Malcolm, I arrive in Lisbon at 10:40 am easyjet flight from Edinburgh on Sunday 8th May. Have now booked Hostel Home for two nights. On the Monday I will walk to Sacavem and train back to Lisbon. Tuesday will start from Sacavem to make this day shorter. More than likely we will meet. Dave

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi, Dave, Just so you know, there is now no need to take a train back to Lisbon. The Via Lusitana has just opened an albergue in the town of Alpriate, 20 km from the Cathedral.

See this thread for more details: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...n-alpriate-20-km-from-lisbon-cathedral.40372/

I was there about ten days ago and it is quite nice. Good cafe in town for eating, too, but the kitchen is completely equipped if you prefer to cook. Bom Caminho!

Dad and I are starting in Coimbra on the 12th - hopefully we meet !!!!
Hope you have a great Camino I am in Vilafranca de Xira tonight. I reckon it will be at least the 17th before I get there. But who knows we may meet before SdeC. I have a little Saltire flag on the back of my rucsac.
Thanks Dave
