Am I the only one who didn't know this?

"Oh, and in case you were wondering, Hoka One One (pronounced o-nay o- nay) is Maori for ‘time to fly’." (Published in "Wild" magazine).

Hmm, I don't have a Maori speaker close, but Dr Google would suggests that 'oneone' translates as 'soil'. Hokahoka appears to mean fly. So perhaps Hoka One One might have some allusion to flying soil, but we might be stretching all our imaginations here.
