You will find, as I have, that this forum is a great way to accumulate most of the info you'll need to hopefully have a great experience.
Might I suggest you go to the 'Frequently Asked Questions-section' first ?
Once you've picked the route you plan on walking you cn get more specific info by seeking out that particular route in the 'route' section.

Hey Ftmarijo! When and where are you starting the Camino? I am planning on departing from SJPDP or Roncevalles on either April 21 or 22nd and walking to Santiago. I will be walking alone so it would be nice to have some trail companions. Especialmente unos que hablan español!

Hola ChicagoMike, I arrive april 22nd to Madrid and going to SJPDP and I think I will start the 23 to Santiago, I am walking alone too, it will great to have someone to talk in spanish!!!! Maybe we can meet!!!!

Leaving Vancouver Canada on April 22nd, arrive in SJPP on the 24th to start my Camino on the 25th.

We may see each other as I will be taking the same route. Likely will get a train out of Montparnasse station sometime after noon on the 23rd. I plan to stay overnight in Bayonne and then train to SJPP.
