Ponferrada to Santiago (September 2016)
I'm home. Came in on Saturday after a little mini vacation in the southwest of France.
What an experience!!!!
Already I have had two requests to speak about it to church groups.
But first I must let it all sink in and percolate through.
What an amazing experience!

@C clearly I did encounter some attitude, but that came more from a group of younger pilgrims/tourists of whom I was glad to say toodles and Buen Camino to them the next morning. What I also encountered were some who had started in Sarria, when asked where they had started, would answer "Oh, I'm only walking from Sarria, I'm not doing the whole thing". If I sensed they were minimizing their pilgrimage and were open to conversation, I would boost them up with encouragement that what they were doing was great and that they were doing a whole Camino. Theirs just so happened to be on a portion of the Camino Frances just as mine was, but it is as whole as any other. Often I could see they were reassured in their choice of route and distance.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
