I still need someone who can Foxy sit from the 25th to the 31st of this month, and also someone or two or three someones who can seamlessly pass the baton while I am away from the 8th to the 30th of September.
There is very little to do other than be nice to pilgrims at the end of their Camino. Pilgs stay for three to five days and while you will be asked to cook evening meals (ie: it is not open kitchen as it is my home) and do some light cleaning, bed changing etc., we have a job jar from day two when everyone participates.
If you like to garden that is even better as we are restoring the church garden in front of the house.
You will need to provide your own groceries although food will be provided for pilgrims and all the basics are here.
Your qualifications? Prefered solo pilgrim (two can share in August but would ask for a donativo from the second for obvious reasons as this means one less bed and more expenses electricity-wise). Cat (and donkey, though not mine) lover. Able to empathise and keep YOUR Camino out of the centre. Must love peace and quiet and relative isolation (closest shops are two klms away along the gorgeous river walk). Languages of course are a plus, (especially German as I need someone to help do some translation for my next book and you would get a mention in the acknowledgements: see page on website about Manfred of Camelle). At the most there will be four others besides you.
See http://www.thelittlefoxhouse.com for details and contact.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Tracy, I hope that you find the hospitalaro volunteer / s that you / The Little Fox House (TLFH). needs. Hopefully this thread remains open .

My time at TLFH was a special time that I was able to share with other pilgrims without the need to keep moving on early the next morning., a retreat with one foot in the pilgrim experience and the other foot firmly in the home experience, complete with family pets that just accept you for who you are.

Seems to be a lot of people posting about stuff they lost on the Camino recently. I managed to leave a nice new-ish polo shirt somewhere drying and didn't notice for over a week. I hope someone...
Did you meet Bjørn Krohn? Died aged 48 in an albergue, I don't know where, tuesday 21th. I didn't know this until now.
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
