Hot water for coffee or tea

Are there any possibilities to boil some water at the albergues for a cup of tea or coffee? One morning without a cup of coffee would be unbearable, so we have even thougt about bringing an electric water boiler.

One of the BEST, BEST BESTEST things we took with us was a spiral immersion heater to boil water in a cup. You will also need a two pronged plug for Spain. Although not all albergues have kitchens, most have electricity (we even used a shaving plug in the men's toilet!). We were the envy of many pilgrims who needed their morning caffiene fix and often had a small queue of cups waiting to pop in the heater. Well worth the extra weight. We also used it to make cup-of-soup and boil tinned veges.

You are quite right Ivar! Spanish coffee is delicious.
But, opening hours in small rural 'aldeas' are often frustrating and on some stretches one might not find an open cafe-bar until 9am. By then some peregrinos have been on the road for three hours.
Some villages don't have cafe-bars and also don't have shops where you can buy food. If you can't do without your morning coffee and have room for a little heater, take it.

I have decided to buy this spiral heater if I can find any. Thank you for useful information. Our camino will start next week, so I hope we are well prepared now. We will of course have a lot of Spanish coffee too... and maybe a glass of red vine. Maybe anyone know some local brand that we ought to try?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
