How hard will leaving part way through be?

So...here's the scenario.
I'm excited to say that my Sister and Brother-in-Law will be coming on Camino with us in 2017. This is just awesome since it was my sister that encouraged my wife and I all the way through our first Camino in 2014.

She however will only have 2wks leave, but by Brother in Law will walk the entire CF with us.
I'm a little concerned that my sister will have a very tough time leaving the three of us to finish Camino on our own.

So...how hard is it to leave someone and go home part of the way through? Different for everyone, I'm sure, but tell me your thoughts.

My husband walked with us from Pamplona to Burgos and then I continued on with the four kids aged 8-13 for another six weeks (we did the Salvador and Primitivo and walked out to Finisterre and back). One of the boys cried almost non-stop for two days, especially when we went to vespers that evening and the refrain we had to keep repeating was "No estoy solo"!! I still get a gut-wrenching feeling when I see our farewell photos at the bus stop, and a little remorse when I see the picture of hubby and the two girls on either side walking across the square in Burgos towards the restaurant where we had our last lunch an hour before he left. The chef must have wondered what was wrong as three different kids sobbed at different times through the meal!
We said we'd never do it that way again, and he would always walk the final portion with us if he couldn't do it all.
On Sunday I leave for the Via de la Plata. Hubby is coming for the middle bit! We will leave him at a train station and walk on immediately. It's important to keep moving. (but you know what? You're all adults - you'll be fine!!!!)

Because I can't take off 5 weeks from work (until I retire in December 2020!!!) I am walking in 3 parts. 2014 to Burgos, I just came back from Burgos to Astorga and next year I'll finish the CF. I don't find it hard to go home part of the way through at all. But then again I walk solo.

Spaniards, which make up the majority of Pilgrims often walk for one week for five years. Returning to where they left. The through-Pilgrims make new friends each week. Enjoy your time don't punish yourself for leaving, learn from the experience..... Willy/Utah/USA

Her feet will thank her. She'll be just fine, other than if she is going back to a job she doesn't like much and wishes she was still on vacation, anywhere.
