I will be landing at Madrid on 1/21-Mon around 2PM. Is there a train that I can catch at that time heading to the direction of SJPP? What is the best way to get there via ground transportation and how log will it take? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Lots of info on this in other threads. Do a search "Madrid to SJPDP."
In a nutshell, take the computer line from Madrid T4 to the Atocha train station. Take the train to Pamplona. Take the bus to SJPDP.
Buy tickets in advance via online. BTW, if you have a Renfe long distance ticket (e.g. To Pamplona), the ride from MadridT4 to Atocha is free.
Lots of advice on this issue in other threads.
Buen Camino!

I think that the bus service from Pamplona to SJPDP is seasonal and does not run in January. Dates were posted in another thread. https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/bus-pamplona-to-sjpdp.57922/

If the bus service from Pamplona is not running then it is possible to travel by taxi. I have heard estimates of $100 for the journey. An alternative route from Madrid might be to take a Spanish train to Irun and then local trains or buses across the border to Bayonne where you can take the SNCF local train to SJPDP.

Hi all, I’m starting my Camino Frances on May 12. I’ve booked my first night in SJPDP, but I’m starting to worry I need to book more. My plan was to take it day by day and just turn up, but lots...
Hello all. Here to give a brief account of my (and many others) first day on the Camino on May 1. The trip to Roncesvalles was tough. I went Valcarlos route because napoleon was very ill advised...

I struggle with social anxiety and I was wandering if anybody with the same issue had a positive experience on the Camino walking alone. I saw lots of posts and videos people talking about forming...
I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Money stolen from bag on bed while sleeping. Estelle municipal hostel. Not a big inconvenience as my passport and credit cards were left.
