I recently finished the Camino on 22 April 2019, and enjoyed the people, the walk, and the whole atmosphere tremendously. I have written a few things during the walk, and can share my thoughts on the portion between Burgos to Rabe de la Calzadas on 2 May as follows:
"A walk from the stillness of the road,
Into a quiet village silent in the early afternoon sun,
No one to be seen, as if it only waits for you,
To perhaps stop for a while, or go on into the waiting blue,
To carry on between ochre walls of stone,
Beside a small church crowned with a stork's nest,
After a quick drink from a cool water fountain,
To clear the dust of the day from a parched throat."
