I am going to not over think the planning of this trip in a few weeks time

It has been at the back of my head this year that I need to do a Camino Frances for reasons I am not totally certain about, In a three day period around Christmas out of the blue the idea was planted into my head from various sources.
Last few weeks I have had a few work and health problems which are now sorted and I am today rushing around planning a SJPDP start on May 8th.
But yet again and knowing my OCD tendencies for over planning everything and getting stressed about it :) (probably why I need to do The Way for a re-balance) I have decided in the last hour to not over plan and over think about this and just take the first step in France on May 8th even though I might have overlooked something, but I am sure whatever I have forgotten or not planned it will right itself as I go along.

I have a 9 Kg rucksack load
Good walking shoes
Flight sorted

That's all I need and I am sure the albergues will sort themselves out when I get there

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

All sounds perfectly fine.

Remember, if you forget something, it can be bought at a better price & quality in Spain. It is an old, civilised country. And you will not be alone. Have no worries.

Exactly. The Camino is not a wilderness expedition into uncharted lands. It is actually an overly well marked route with extremely good infrastructure for walkers/pilgrims, in a safe and developed country.
Even if you realise you missed some equipment, there are plenty of cities along the way to buy even that.

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
