elcorreogallego reports:

The fierce competition between Iberia and Ryanair causes each to advertise tickets at lower prices . Iberia has marketed one million seats for only 29 euros . This newspaper found however that things are not what they seem.

According to this promotion, people from Compostela could travel to Madrid for roughly the same money that the low cost Irish line charges.
Iberia 's offer also includes trips to the Canary Islands, Germany, Belgium , France , Holland, Ireland , Italy , Morocco , Portugal and Romania for 49 euros . And trips to Austria , Denmark , Greece, Sweden, United Kingdom , Czech Republic, Russia, Sweden , Switzerland and Turkey for 69 euros.
Finally, special prices also include seats on Iberia flights to Boston , Chicago , Miami or New York for 229 euros and Argentina, Guatemana , Panama , Puerto Rico , San Salvador and Santo Domingo for 299 euro.

To get these prices you have to meet very strict conditions . The first is that the flight must be purchased before this Sunday, September 19 . And the offer is only valid for flights from 1 October 2010 until April 14, 2011. There are however dates excluded from this promotion period ranging from 8 to 12 and 29 to 31 October. Also on days 1, 2 and 5 to 9 November

On the bridge in December and Christmas they will not lower prices. Iberia also excluded from the offer of 3 to 12 December, from 17 to 19 , 23 , Christmas Eve , 26 and 30 and 31. In January, you can not get good price on 2, 5 and 9, and in March 2011 the discount of 29 euros one way shall not apply to 18 to 20 March. That is, on the feast of San José.

In addition, to qualify for this price, the minimum stay at the destination should be three days or nights between Saturday and Sunday , if the case of Spain , Europe and Morocco, and up to seven days or Saturday night to Sunday if you travel to America.

In addition , Iberia also says that this price would be the end as long as they buy the return ticket departing from Madrid or direct flights. If traveling from Santiago to the Balearic Islands will have to pay 24 euros more, and if destination is chosen as the Canaries , you can include other additional 44 euros each way.
Yesterday this newspaper telephoned Iberia reservations . The editor explained to the operator that the Internet was reading the announcement of bids to $ 29 flight, and asked to travel from Santiago to Madrid on October 1 . The answer is that "no deals that day, but for 27 December. " Moreover, " in October , said " there is no flight available at that price. If you want to travel I look cheaper than we have.
