I'm starting my two month Camino in late May!

Camino Ingles (2013)
I've booked my flight to depart May 29, and hopefully, I will be walking from St. Jean a couple of days later. Then, my two month adventure will be underway! I've taken the advice of other pilgrims and left a rigid schedule behind. I will spend an extra day or two in the major cities like I planned, but when I get to those destinations, that is when I get there.

I'd like to give a big thank you to everyone on this forum for all the information and discussions (a few arguments too!). I would not feel this confident and excited if not for all of you.

Buen Camino!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).

A friend and I have the same mentality. We start the 21st-ish from St. Jean, mapped out to take about 40 days, with five spare days to use as needed. Good luck and enjoy! Perhaps we will cross paths as we have extended stays planned for some of the bigger cities and do no anticipate a rushed journey.

Buen Camino :)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

My Wife and I start on the 16th from SJPDP with the same plan as we have booked to fly out of Santiago on the 29th June so we should have plenty of time - if we make up some time we want to do Muxia as well - will just depend on how we feel - as we want to enjoy ourselves.
Have a great walk and maybe we will bump into each other

I plan on walking to Muxia/Finisterre as well. Perhaps both if time permits. Maybe we'll bump into each other out there if not sooner. :)

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Its great that you've left the schedule behind. It doesn't usually go to plan anyway! Have a wonderful experience, and buen camino!

Only a few days before we leave - I had done real well lost 5kgs getting ready - my wonderful friends all gave us fair well dinners - and I had my birthday - so now I am back to my starting weight - bring on the Camino

Happy belated birthday Larry!

I'm in the process of making farewell time for friends and family while getting some last bits of gear. I really goofed up by not forcing myself to schedule time to thoroughly break in my boots or test my gear, but I guess that's how graduate life goes.
