Late April
Hello Pilgrims! I'm starting my walk in late April 2024 and getting very excited for this adventure! I'm an avid hiker and backpacker but have never done a long-distance trek before.
I look forward to chatting with people here and maybe.....run into a few of you along the way!

I'm planning to fly into Barcelona from the US and then take the train to Pamplona. It doesn't look like the train will arrive early enough to catch the bus to SJPDP though. I guess I'll either do my first night there or meet up with other walkers and share a cab.

I´d stay a night in Pamplona, relax and get over the travel weariness. Next day you can start walking when you get off the bus if you have the energy, a reservation at Orisson, or both, otherwise another night in SJPdP.

Hello SFHiker and welcome to the forum. You will get solid advice and positive responses here!

I fly into Madrid from the US and then on to Pamplona the same day. Spend a night in Pamplona and then I'm ready to begin the Camino. You can take a bus to SJPDP or Roncevalles the next day, or start walking from the Pamplona airport.

Buen Camino!

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
I am 29 doing the Frances by myself starting in SJPdP next week. I didn’t realize this was a busiest time to do the Frances so I am really nervous about the bed race. I don’t mind socializing or...
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
