In the beginning

Time of past OR future Camino
2017 Camino Frances,
2019 C. Portuguese (inland).
I have a fleeting thought, an idea, a memory of something that happened on the Camino Frances on the 25 May 2017. I tap on some little symbols on my phone and within seconds I can share my memory of that incident of the 25 May 2017 with, potentially, thousands upon thousands of people who are also tapping symbols on their phones thousands and thousands of miles away. And within minutes hundreds of questions and comments and “likes” and answers are crisscrossing the globe for days upon days. These words, these very words that you are reading, left me minutes ago, flew up into space on an invisible thread and then rained down onto every corner of the globe. That is extraordinary. It is truly amazing. We have been vested with such genius, such power. It is with words that we can alter the course of human history. “shall I compare thee to a summer's day.” There is such extraordinary power in those words. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” "love begets love." Words are profoundly and potently who we are. We have a responsibility to use them sparingly, judiciously, wisely, lovingly, responsibly, especially now that we can rain them down upon the Earth and to all who dwell upon it.

I would kindly ask that you respect the purpose and meaning of my post. It is about the power of words and language and our amazing capacity today to communicate so widely and instantly. It's simply another take on the old cliche, "the power of the pen." I have amended some of the quotes, hopefully to emphasise my true intent. In particular, I draw your attention to my quote, "Love begets love."

I must have missed something
So have I. The OP rambles for 215 words and then suggests we use words sparingly!

I don't think that the original post would withstand any rigorous analysis. If all the hyperbole and other platitudes were removed, the best that I can make of it is:

Modern communications might spread our words across the world. We need to be careful how we use this awesome power. (Sorry, I had to sneak one bit of hyperbole back in! That took it from 19 to 20 words.)

Don't get me wrong. @Lexicos has raised an interesting point here, and has done so in other posts. I will leave it to others to judge whether they are prolix or merely voluble.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thank you for your comment on my "OP" Fitz. You sound like a very learned man. You can notch up your first good deed for today. You have relieved me of any desire I might have had to communicate with scholars. I wish you all the best on your next Camino and your quest for spiritual enlightenment. Aurevior. Adieu. Buen Camino.!
