The Santiago Archdioces gives indulgences on these days. You do not have to walk the camino to earn an indulgence, but other conditions do apply. Visit www/csj.org.uk for more information.
(The plenary indulgence is still granted to those who visit the Cathedral and the tomb of the Apostle at any time during a Holy Year, make their confession, attend Mass, pray for the intentions of the Holy Father, and undertake some charitable work (this can include a charitable donation). The indulgence may be gained on behalf of the dead.)
Easter Sunday
21st April (the anniversary of the consecration of the cathedral)
23 May (the Apparition)
25 July (his martyrdom and Feast Day)
30 December (the translation of the relics)
