I am Roy Smyth from Vancouver Canada. I walked the Camino Frances in 2008 and this year will walk from Le Puy to SJPP starting April 27. Looking at this forum recently. Thanks to all who have posted so much good information.

I will have a mobile with a French SIM card and a copy of Miam Miam Dodo. ;-)

I plan to average 25 km per day. 64 years old. Speak a bit of French. Hiked in Corsica last year. Will be at Mass in Le Puy on the morning I set off.

Say hello / dites bonjour if you see me on the traill.

Bonne route / buen camino.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Have a wonderful time. I am planning to walk again next year with my husband who will be 79 then. We plan to walk from Le Puy to St Jean, volunteer in a refuge for 2 weeks and then walk on to Santiago!
God willing! Best wishes, Gitti

I was going to walk the Le Puy but the videos I am seeing on youtube make me think that its 99% seniors. Not that there's anything wrong with seniors but being the token 'young person' gets old...
