Hey All,

So I just purchased the plane tickets so I guess I am really going. I have considered walking the camino for a few years now but never with much seriousness. About 4 days ago all my summer plans collapsed and I was left with a vacuum of time to fill. For some reason this trip popped into my head, and after spending a couple of days working out the major logistics it all seems to be in place. Looks like I will be hiking mid-July to mid Aug. Don't worry, I'm not as reckless as I sound. I've done much longer backpacking trips State-side. Anyways, I just wanted to say hello and especially to encourage any friends of Bill W. to message me with their experiences dealing with our particular brand of issues on the trail.

Peace,
Megan

Welcome, Megan,
No doubt with the serious of events leading up to your decision that it is the "right time" for you to do the Camino! I think you will find the Camino unlike anything you have experienced before! Hopefully, pilgrims here will be able to answer all your questions.
Buen Camino,

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
hi Megan,

My name is Dennis and I am a friend of Bill W. I am from Canada and I will be doing the Camino for three weeks beginning on August 28/09 from St. Jean-Pied-du Port.
.
I do not intend to bring any literature but I do hope to stay in touch with my friends via the internet
and therby keep my head straight.
There sure is a lot of talk on this forum concerning wine and how cheap and plentiful it is.
Perhaps there just might be a meeting along the way.I have attended meetings before where I did not understand a word and came away with a good feeling.I suppose all it takes is the effort and good things happen!
Have a great Camino one day at a time!!!

Dennis
