A couple of quick questions;
Has anyone walked inland Caminha to Valenca? I want to do the coastal walk out of Porto but head back inland to Valenca/Tui, has anyone done this? any info would be appreciated.
Also is it worth taking a day detour to visit Braga?, if so bus or walk, I have plenty of time.

Cheers

I personally think you should visit Braga but it is better if you do it while you are in Porto (before starting).
The train (from Porto) costs 3.20€ and takes around 1h.

I agree with JCLima, the trains are very nice and cheap and run very often. Braga is an amazing place to visit, full of history and yet not so crowded with tourist. There are a few very nice hostels (for 12€ you will get a very nice dorm bed and brakfast included), try InBraga Hostel.

Certainly is. Nice place.

When I last stayed there I had a call from the Archbishops office to ask me to remove my unsightly laundry from the balcony immediately opposite his window)

Cheers

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Took a quick trip to Braga on the way to Tui to see the Bom Jesus and it was totally worth it. Stunning views and beautiful church.
