Future...leaving Colorado 08/10/2014
2 of my adult daughters and I did it! Booked the flight. ...... We leave August 10th from Colorado. We have been reading the forum for 1.5 years, planning. The biggest thing that worries us right now is bed bugs. We are not sure what type of sheeting to get. Any suggestions? We are beyond thrilled, and can't wait for August 10, 2014 to get here.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Jen,
Congratulations on your leap of faith. You will have a great time! It will be hot in August (I'm leaving 10 days after you), and I've thought about what to bring for a good night rest (bedbug-free). I'm taking a very light sleeping bag with a satin/silk sheet liner. If it's hot, it will offer a barrier, but still be comfortable. Don't worry about the bedbugs, chances are slim you will ever have to deal with them. Take the steps offered on many of the bedbug threads on this site and you'll be fine.
Buen camino,
Doug

Amazing step you've taken, and I wish you all the best. There's plenty on the forums here about bed-bugs, but I never came across any issues, but did hear of it occasionally. Take the right precautions and you'll be fine. It's a wonderful experience, so enjoy! Buen camino!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Jen,
I am also from Colorado and walked the Camino in August and September 2013. I learned a lot about the Camino and would be willing to share that info with you. I took a bed bug sheet and sleeping bag liner...no bed bug bites! I walked with others that were bitten badly. If you would like to talk, call the Pueblo Police Dept and ask for Sgt. Dan Rutherford.
If i don't hear from you, Buen Camino!
