Hi, Just wondering if anyone has used just Keen Newport H2 sandals on the camino? Just doing 8 days Astorga to Santiago early June. Interested in knowing others experiences.

I own only one pair of shoes, and have done so for four years now. It's the Keen Newport. I have travelled right around the world in these, including trekking in Thailand and horse riding in Mongolia and snow in Romania. I'm about to replace them for our upcoming Camino stint and expect them to last as well as the first ones. (only problems are the elastics wore out after about three years, the soles are just starting to show some wear and they are no longer like walking on a pocket of air - not bad for constant wear)

how did you deal with them in the rain?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Trekking sandals are great on CF in June regardless of the brand. The latest is more related to the anatomy of a pilgrim's feet :)
My feet favourites are: ECCO Yak closed toe, Merrell All Out Blaze, Keen Newport

However like with all kind footwear one needs to check them out before hitting the road - some 10km with a backpack typically loaded on mixed terrain will tell you whether you are happy with them or not..
