The RENFE train station and the ALSA bus station are on the west side of Leon about 7 km from La Virgen. If you haven't seen Leon it would be a shame to miss it - there's not a lot to see in La Virgen. You may want to check out El Pajar de Oncina nearby - it's one of my favorite albergues so far!

There is a wonderful modern church in La Virgen del Camino right near the bus stop. It would be a good place to get your first sello.

A local bus leaves Plaza de Santo Domingo for La Virgen about every thirty minutes. It is the fastest and cheapest way to get there. Wait at the bus stop in front of the BBVA bank.
