Hi, my name is Linda and I live on Vancouver Island, BC. I will be 64 this summer and am hoping to leave from Vancouver at the end of August and be at St. Jean at the beginning of September, spending the first night at Orrison. Anybody else have similar plans? Have not purchased tickets yet, but each time I read the forum, I get more excited and am fine tuning my pack.

Hi Coleen. Good to hear from you. It sounds like you will be a little ahead of us. Have made contact with a lady on the Lower Mainland and we will be flying from Vancouver on Sept. 4th, overnight in Paris, flight to Biarritz on the morning of the 6th, make our way to Bayonne, training to SJPP and walking to Orisson - overnighting there and heading out to Roncevalles on the morning of the 7th. Hopefully we will run into you at some point. I don't know about you - but I am very excited, but also concerned that I won't be ready - life - as John Lennon put it - is what happens when you have other plans. Stuff keeps happening that is keeping me from training as I would like to. Good luck with your training, happy planning and all the best. Linda

I've been planning this a year. I can walk 25 to 30km with comfort. But any thing can happen. I'm leaving Santiago on October 6th. I'm planning 2 nights in Leon. Sept 21 and the 22nd. Meeting other friends for the last 100km. I hope some of your plans are in those dates. Fly home from Madrid on October 9th.
Coleen
