Time of past OR future Camino
July and August (2014)
Trying to get an idea of how the day will go: what time do most start walking? Is food usually provided by the albuergue? (Sp) I understand the midday meal is the largest with a light diner later but what time is lunch and what time is the siesta? Should we have lunch on the trail or plan to be at or destination before the big meal? And lastly, do most of the albuergue a provide lunch / diner ?

Most people will start walking between 6 and 7, some albergues have breakfast and you will have to pay extra for it. In my experience is better to buy some bread, cheese and chorizo and make your own breakfast, what you get in most albergues in not worth the money(toasted bread with jam)
For lunch do the same , buy food in the supermarket (. Cheap) or get a bocadillo In one of the many bars along the way.

And again for dinner :) if you find group of people you like , why not cook at the albergue (some albergues have a kitchen) together and eat better than at the restaurants with their menu "de pelegrino"

And the famous "menu del pelegrino"
I can't eat it, it's always the same thing and not enough for me, if you want a cheap menu eat the "menu del dia" it's almost the same price but much better than del pelegrino , it's earlier in the day
