Thinking of beginning in Leon on May 31st, 2017. Would like to find women over 40 to walk with on this stage.

Make your way to the Albergue Santa Maria de Carbajalas. You will meet many pilgrims of most genders and all ages.

Personally, I found pilgrims ageless on the CF. I do prefer to walk alone but those I did walk with spontaneously, I'm guessing, were anywhere from 18 to 80.

Your point is well taken. Let me rephrase that .......

Is anyone leaving Leon on May 31st? And - what route are you taking? I have read so much about the highway closeness and an alternative route that is more pleasant.

You won't find any trouble meeting people in Leon and all points west.
