Hi All ,
I’m booked to Re-start my Camino where I left of in Sept’ in León starting April 8th . Anyone any experience of the weather on this route in mid-April ?Looks Artic at the moment - hoping Spring will have Sprung in 2 weeks ! Do you think I could complete this in 16 Days - I’m happy at 25k a day with the occasional 32k .

Thanks - Ian

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Welcome and Greetings from Jerusalem! You ak two challenging questions, Weather, no politics, but it's a'changing. What was right and correct 5 years ago doesn;t work anymore. Last year doesn't work anymore. I have seen nice sunny weather 15 C at lunchtime and I have seen snow. Time and kilometerage: 25-30 a day is doable p-r-o-v-i-d-e-d there are no blisters, no sprained ankles, no blisters on under or around existing blisters, the crowded albergues are perfect hothouses for colds, flue, ague, and microbes, two or three days of "opening the windows of heaven and the fountains of the deep" will soak through even the most stalwart pilgrim, and should you meet a soul mate companion who walks slower than you, you fall in love with Astorga/Hospital del Orbigo/Santiago and stay over, you eat some funky pulpo or chorizo and are laid up with Boabdil's Revenge all can all work to shoot down an itinerary. My advice is the advice of Baden-Powell, "Be Prepared" meaning flexibility wins the day. Buen Camino

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks Scruffy - that’s about covered every eventuality. Regards from UK
