Lista de Correos - Poste Restante

Hello, fellow pilgrims!

I'm flying from Rio de Janeiro - Brazil this Saturday to start the Camino Francés from Roncesvalles on Tuesday. I am planning to send a package with a small bag containing clothes from Pamplona to Santiago's Lista de Correos (Poste Restante) on Monday, as I intend to fly to Paris after the Camino, and would like to dress normally there.

I've heard conflicting information on how long they will hold a "Paquete Peregrino" for you in Santiago. Most people say it's 30 days, some people say they have extended it to 2 months, and I sent an email to the Correos costumer service and they replied it's only 15 days! Can that be right?

Can anyone there give me positive information on this? 'Cause if I have to send it to Burgos and then again to Astorga and finally Santiago, I'd rather transfer some of my backpacks load to the "paquete" and pick it up as I need it along the way!

Thanks a lot in advance!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Poste Restante

They usually put your parcel into a Pilgrim Box to send to Santiago and then they keep it for 30 days. However, If you put an expected date of arrival on the box they will keep it for you.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
