I contacted the Correos this morning and they have confirmed that they will keep parcels sent to their Lista Correos (post offices) for 2 months. Good news for the longer distance and slower walkers.

Estimada Sil

I assume this is concerning the post office in Santiago? Man, I was so glad when someone told me about that service early on in the Way. I sent about 2.5 kilos worth of clothing and gear ahead (stuff I didn't need on the Way, but that I wanted to use afterwards) from Najera. I sent a large travel bag ahead to Santiago from Pamplona when we landed there on 22nd August. I also sent a parcel ahead to Leon (for Tomas of Manjarin). Along the way I sent two more parcels containing papers, brochures etc on the camino to Santiago. All were held and collected safely. The Post Office in Santiago kept my parcel for 37 days so it does seem to work very well.
From a sunny Lugo,
Hugs,
Sil
