- 2013 walked the camino from Holland to Santiago. 2770 km and 100 days of walking
My name is hans Rensen and I walked the camino last year from Holland to Santiago de Compostela. The most impressive journey of my life and it took me exactly 100 days and 2770 km walking to reach the cathedral in Santiago. I left my home on februari 20th and reached Santiago on may 31 at 16:30
I would like to get in contact with a lovely couple from the USA I met on the very first days in Spain. I met Micheal and Ann climbing the Pyrenees on april 30 2013. Micheal looked green/yellow of exhaustion because he was still recovering from his cancer. I talked to him several times and I had a nice talk with Ann as well. I never asked their full names and only know they both have Italian blood))
I was touched by this lovely couple and moved by their story. In my blog I called Michael “hero of the day”
So I met Micheal and Ann on April 30 climbing the Pyrenees and walking from SJPdP to Roncevalles. The day after I met them again....took some pictures of Micheal and had a lovely walk and talk with Ann. Most people you meet in other places but Micheal and Ann I never saw them again. So I’m very curious how they made their Camino.... Are they okay?? And I would like to get in contact with them.
I post two pictures of him; one close up and a second where he's talking to a young Swiss guy called Stefan
