Coming back from the Camino it took me about 6 weeks to adjust to normal life again. I walked last May/June with my 20 year old son and we had the time of our lives as many of you did too I assume. I found it was not just the walking in Spain but also my prep for the Camino I'm missing. I keep walking there I want to keep up the workouts but would love to have a goal again. Now I already decided that I will walk the Camino again but not coming year but the year after ( I'm still working and can't just take off every summer 6 weeks . So my solution for now is to do several 3 or 4 day walks nearby. Just to keep going. However walking in FL by yourself is not a safe thing to do. I looked into walks here and there used to be " The big O" walk (walk around Lake Ocheechobee) But that one doesn't exist anymore.
So I thought if there are more "Camino lovers" in Florida maybe we can get together a few times a year to do a 2,3 or 4 day walk somewhere in FL "Camino style" . Just plan a route , book a few motel rooms and have dinner together and walk on the next day.
