Lost iPhone cord and adaptor

Hi, I have left my iPhone cord and adaptor in the last Albergue and was wondering if anyone know where in Santiago I could purchase an Australian adaptor and iPhone cord? Perhaps a large electronic store may have them. Also heading to Madrid? Would really appreciate any help or advise offered. Thank you. Kaye

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
You might try asking your albergue if they have any cables and adaptors that previous pilgrims left behind.
In Santiago de Compostela, I expect you'll see plenty of mobile phone shops that can sell you a new cord and a European wall plug to USB converter. Or you can go to an electronics store. There's a "PC BOX" store at Rua de Santiago de Chile, not far from the railway station. I expect you'll see others closer to the city center.

@Kaye Simpkin, I think your best option would be to find an Apple compatible charger with the European standard Type C pins, and the USB cable for your phone. In theory, any standard USB charger should work, although some of them will be slow, and if you are recharging a tablet as well, then you will need one capable of delivering a higher charge current than if you are just charging a phone. You should be able to do this in most larger towns and cities.

I suspect it won't be until you are home in Australia that you will find the Australian Type I plugs on chargers.

Afraid I didn't get a positive result when I did a quick look now. I know how it feels... you ought to be able to get a replacement cable, but if you can't find your adapter, you might need to wait till the airport. Store a photo of your adapter on your phone to show in the shops, make it easier to 'explain' what you need. Good luck.
