Low airfares from states to Portugal and Madrid

Camino 2024 unknown starting 4/1 from somewhere.
Iberia and American are currently offering very low airfares from Chicago and other American cities to Lisbon, Porto and Madrid for the Spring of 2015. (April)

I suspect that between it now being the "off season" for most tourists to travel to Europe in general, and the impending infectious disease "Sword of Damocles" unknown hanging over most of Europe, my fellow North Americans are staying away in droves. I cannot say I blame them.

On the other hand, if you are planning on a winter Camino, you can save enough on airfare to upgrade to staying in hostals and small hotels as opposed to unheated albergues on your pilgrimage. Just thinkin...
