Levante in 2019?
Hi all,
hope to find some answers for a friend who will be walking late 2012 from Pamplona to
SdC. As we live in Australia, we usually come with more luggage to Europe than we actually need on the Camino.
As my friend will be flying straight from Sydney to Barcelona, then by bus to Pamplona, wants
to forward extra luggage (needed for an extended holiday in Europe after the walk) from Pamplona
to SdC, safe storage there for about 5 weeks etc.
Anyone has experience in doing so, perhaps even cost involved ???

Thank you

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi, Bem,

Last year when Ivar closed his Camino Travel Center, he noted that the Pension Badalada was taking over his luggage storage system. The info is on this post: http://www.caminodesantiago.me/the-cami ... er-closes/

I assume it's up to date with the details, but I have never used the system.

I frequently send a few things from my arrival point in Spain to Santiago. I just pack up a box or a duffel bag and send it from the post office to the hotel where I'll be staying. They just keep the box for me until my arrival, but if your friend doesn't have a reservation in Santiago, using the Pension Badalada might be the better option.

Buen camino, Laurie

& looks a lovely place to stay too :)

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Thanks Laurie and Abbeydore,
I'll pass this message on to my friend.
Very helpful, indeed.
Cheers

Manuel Ruzo, who runs the Pension and the luggage service, is a wonderful guy who also arranges various tours in and from Santiago. When they get to Santiago, all they have to do is walk up Rua Xelmeriz - the Pension in on the right, almost at the top of the street. They will have the luggage waiting for them.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.
