There are efficient internal and international postal services to all countries. Airmail within Europe usually takes around five days. Poste Restante facilities are available at main post offices.

If you don't find storage for your luggage, it might be worth asking the post office if you can pay them to hold your luggage whilst you are waking.

Luggage
Hi co,
There is no luggage storage at the airport. They are working on upgrading the airport, so hopefully this will be something that will come later.
I am sure your hotel will help you with a few bags/suitcases if you are planning to stay there a few days when returning from your walk.
Some of the smaller hostels in old town do not have much space left over for "luggage storage rooms", so I think your chances are higher asking at a hotel in new town (e.g. http://www.hesperia-gelmirez.com/).

Please let us know how it goes.
Welcome to Santiago,
Ivar
I will have to check this out the next time I am at the airport..Checking the web site for the new (2011) SCQ airport (http://www.aena-aeropuertos.es/csee/Satellite/Aeropuerto-Santiago/en/Page/1048690016775//Left-Luggage-Office.html#Left Luggage Office) they now have luggage storage available. "Medium-sized lockers are located on the 4th basement floor (-4) of the general car park. The rate is €5.07 for a full or partial day." Has anyone used this service? What are the dimensions of a "medium-sized locker"? How many are there, & what is the likely availablilty on a Sunday in June? Thank!

They sell small boxes at the post office, or you can ship the suitcase/roller bag as well. If you choose to send a suitcase/roller bag, they will ask you to wrap it in something, plastic or card board. I just had a Corean pilgrim in yesterday picking up a suitcase from SJPP and he told me that he did get some card board from a supermarket and wrapped that around the suitcase.. they taped it at the post office.Ivar
My question if I ship my excess luggage to you from SJPP will I need to box it or can it be shipped as luggage? Also if it is shipped as luggage should it be locked?
