I see Macabi now makes a slim skirt. Has anyone seen it or tried it?

It will be nice for slimmer ladies.
Personally, I love the freedom the regular Macabi gives me.
But it will be interesting to hear feedback.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
OK, I sent for a Macabi skirt. I am 5'3" 135 pounds. I ordered a slim skirt in size small short. I think the fit is fine, I can't think of anything I would need a wider skirt for. It isn't exactly what I'd call cute, but it seems practical. I am going to need to think about this. I like the pockets, I'm just not sure. It is different.

@lmsundaze the pockets are the best things. I found it unnecessary to have any kind of a handbag anywhere, with or without my pack. It is particularly good in cities travelling to and from the Camino - passport, wallet, iphone all fit, were easy to get out when I needed them but they still felt secure. It is such freedom.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I just got my Macabi Slim today. While I really like the BARK color and regular length (I have a long Macabi which I bought from @Anniesantiago), I honestly don't see any difference to speak of with the 4" less in the hips...it just isn't noticeable to me. I'll be taking this one in from waist to hips also because on my long torso/shorter legged frame, all that fabric makes me feel like a circus clown. JMHO. :)

The pockets are the same, RumAndChupacabras? (great name, btw)
Thanks! It's the name of my soap shop ;)
And how will you take your other up without altering the great pockets, up the back seam?

Oops...sorry I missed these last 2 posts for so long!
The pockets are indeed the same (there's no way I'd mess with that awesome feature)! I'm just taking out some of the bulk as to how it fits my particular body. I'm (still altering...can't find the right sized rubber belt for my beloved Mom's [rip] 1910 Singer Sewing Machine) by making 4 vertical 6" long by 1/2 inch deep darts in front and 4 more in back. I just wanted it to lie/lay? a bit more flat in front from the waist elastic to my, um, lowest part of the abdomen, base of second Chakra, to mid-hip...and in the back as well. I have a Puerto Rican backside and don't like how the skirt makes it even more Rubenesque. The cool thing is, I can still pull the waist band up to my underarms if needed as well as not having any effect on those FABULOUS pockets.
PS...I'm no seamstress, so go easy on me okay? :)

Yeah, I'm looking at my Cranberry Macabi and REALLY wanting to take it this year.
It is not the new slender style.
I think I'll put a secret pocket in it and take it and one other, not sure which yet.

My new slender one is quite a bit smaller in width than the regular.
Maybe I'll do darts on the Cranberry.
You've inspired me!

Great! I'm planning on taking this one (above), which I bought from YOU :D as well as the slender Bark color...although I don't find my slender that much less fabric than the regular. I guess it's all according to ones body shape.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

But that one you bought from me is not the new slender one, right?
I think the biggest difference is in the hem fabric.

Correct. The Cranberry I bought from you is the original. You must be right on the less fabric at base; I guess that's why I still find it poufy up top, duh! LOL
