My husband was planning to do the Camino but due to ill health he died recently. As a family we would like to make a donation that will help others fulfil his dream. but we don't know how we can do this
One of the best known and highly respected guidebook authors, John Brierley, also passed recently. His books introduced many people to the various caminos and in his memory a fund has been established to create an albergue on the Camino Portuguese; that may be a suitable option. I am sure there are many more.
Please accept my condolences @Hallierae Some excellent suggestions already and I'm sure more will come. I also wanted to mention that sometimes people walk a Camino dedicated to the memory of a loved one. Perhaps there is someone in your family who would like to do this at some stage in memory of your husband who had that dream.

It's called Vicarie Pro which means in the name of. Over the years I have met a number of people doing this - and I will be doing the same later this year in the name of a dear friend who passed away recently. Best wishes to you and your family.
