Camino Frances: March 15-April 15 2016

Camino Portugues: 2019
Heading out from SJPDP on March 15th. I am looking forward to the quiet start to my walk and landing in Burgos for Easter celebrations. I'm aware of the weather issues and will be hiking my way through the winter here in New England so I'll be prepared.

I've been doing my research along with mental/financial/physical preparation since July but now that it is getting close I feel even more excitement with a pang of nervousness. Mainly from the fact that I know little Spanish (working on it) & the solo hiking so far from home. I hike and camp alone but in NE but that's my comfort zone. I know all will be fine and this forum is such a wonderful resource for finding the answers to questions & concerns. Was about time added my info to the calendar here.

Would love to meet others that will be walking around the same time. Buen Camino!! :)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
It is completely normal to be nervous before your first Camino (and before your second, your third, your ...). The people alongside the way are very much used to non-Spanish speaking pilgrims, but they do appreciate a few words in their own language. Buen Camino, SY

Hier Mary flow, it's so normal that you are nervous. That will be gone after you begin your journey.
Wish you well and a Buen Camino, Peter.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Glad to see that there will be a few other travelers in mid-March starting from St. Jean. This is my second Camino and I plan to take my time. Hope to see all of you along the way. Buen Camino
