Melide - Santiago

I recently finished Lugo- Santiago and my experiences on the stretch Melide - Santiago were quite good.
Pulpo in Ezequiel good. I thought the place was "too touristic", but it is not . I had pulpo, pimentos de Padrón and tarta de Santiago and everything was good and not expensive.
The Camino was quite clean ( I expected more litter).
Many adult pilgrims, so I could talk with people from USA, France, Lithuania, Sweden, Spain, Mexico, Canada and Germany in Spanish and English and with locals in Galician.
So I had a great time on this rather unpopular stretch.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Thanks for this Pelegrin. How many days did you take?

Galicia is such a beautiful province, having said that, Melide is such a sad place, as is Arzúa. Pulpo? Much better at the main inn in O Cebreiro, belly up to the bar with all the caballeros, take your toothpick and dig in!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thanks for this Pelegrin. How many days did you take?

It took me four days:
1. Lugo--------- San Román 19,7 Kms Albergue O Candido
2. San Román---- Melide 27,7 Kms Hotel Xaneiro
3. Melide ------ A Brea 27,6 Kms Pension The Way
4. A Brea------- Santiago 25,7 Kms Hostal La Salle

I had two goals on this Camino. First to complete my Primitivo that I had to interrupt in 2013 for family reasons and Second I liked to know the reality on one part of Sarria -Santiago about which I had read on this forum not very good opinions .
As I said my experience was quite good (I know that from July to Septemeber, must be different because school holidays).

Galicia is not a province. It is an Autonomous Region with a Government (Xunta ) and a Parliament, both located in Santiago.
I agree that there are better places to have pulpo in Galicia but as a Galician I say that pulpo in Ezequiel is quite good.
Your opinion about the sadness of Melide and Arzua reveals that despite the high amount of pilgrims every year they remain almost the same than in the past which is good news for me.
