Hi peregrin@s!

Why oh why do I always hit "save" before I've even written anything?

I'm near León, walking towards the Pyrenees. It's very likely :p that I'll take the Camino from Mansilla to Cistierna and do the Olvidado in reverse, which means that I'll be seeing you guys who are on it right now.

Here's the thing. I'm packing too much. I've packed equipment for what I wanted to do - being outdoors and bushcrafting - but not for true light hiking or a Camino experience. As it turns out, it's better to either hike OR bushcraft but not both.

Of course, if I were going to Santiago, there'd be wonderful people there, and Casa Ivar as I discovered recently. But if I'm going to SJDP and Irún (I'm going through Irún to get back to SJPDP), I'm thinking there is no central location to mail it to.

There is another issue, which is I'm packing a small hatchet and I cannot send it across borders. Ideally I'd send it somewhere to a friendly peregrin@, if anyone is willing to hang on to it. Hatchets (I know this) are technically not on Correos' "favourites" list either.

So... if anyone has some idea or has a good solution, I'd be very happy... :)

Saludos,
Gwaihir

De belangrijkste regel bij het pakken van je backpack is : alles wat je niet meeneemt is meegenomen !
met vriendelijke groeten en buen camino

Gwaihir,

1.
Since you will be going back through Irun you might email the Irun albergue and ask if they will accept and store your package.
2. However you should be able to ship the package via the Spanish postal service/Correos and have it stored directly by them in Irun
Check out Correos. They cover Spain. Use the info in this link to ask them any questions. They will respond quickly.

Hola, I gearing up to start my 1st CdS and have seen people recommended sleeping bag liners to protect against bed bugs. Do these help or is it a myth? Should I add the extra weight of bringing one?
