Ingles May 2015
Portuguese May 2016
We are walking the Inglés right now. Just arrived at Bruma in several broken pieces! Good news is a new bar café called Meson - Museu Xente no Camiño has opened and is VERY nice. It is sort of half way 'tween Presedo and Julia's in just the place where a watering hole is needed especially with Julia's opening regime ( was closed today!) See www.alfredoerias.com

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Thank you for the information. I remember the walk to Bruma being very long with only a stop at Bar Julia, nice to know there is another option for a coffee break. I do miss the happy days of walking the Ingles.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
We[6ladies youngest64] have just finished ingles,we found Meson Museo at right spot12kms from Betanzos at Presedo superb food & drinks,On BRUMA-SIQUEIRO cafe O Cruceiro was closed, might have been just for the day. We did Sarria-SANTIAGO last year &now are looking for our next part of a Camino ~100 km and with hotel stays any suggestions

The Portugues from Valença/Tui is a very nice one !

Another very nice one is the Ruta de Salnés aka the Variante Espiritual do Caminho Português. Starts in Pontevedra ,you walk 2 or 3 days ,depending on your pace and distances you like to do per day , and the last 28 kms is by boat ! The only martime caminho in the world. The boattour ends up in Pontecessures nearby Padrón and then it is 26 kms to Santiago from there. Great great great. We did it a few weeks ago, in combination with the caminho Portugues da Costa from Porto in Portugal .
Highly recommended. A great adventure. Very quiet like the camino Ingles -we walked the Ingles last year.
Oh and yes we stayed in hotels too.
Had a hostal in Pontevedra
A hostal in Combarro,
A hotel in Barrantes
A hostal in Padrón and a very luxury hotel in Teo a Casalonga so the Padrón to Santiago trail was divided in two. The last day we only walked 7 kms before we reached the finish in Santiago. Very rekaxed.

Buen camino

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Just back from our Camino. We enjoyed a menu del dia at the new Meson - Museu Xente no Camiño. Bar Julia was also open (she closes at about 15.30). The cook at the new cafe is her daughter-in-law.
