Camino ( April 2016)
Hi there....I'm intending to the Camino end of April, staying in Santiago a few days then walking back to Saint John Pied de Port in June. Am doing this on my own, which I have no reservations about (having done the Camino once before), but just thought there may be some Kiwi who would like to do it but is a little concerned doing it completely on their own. Just a thought!

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
Welcome jann, April is a good time to start IMO, everything fresh and green.
Have a great Camino and return walk.
Buen Camino.

Hi Jann and welcome to this wonderful forum. Wish you a great journey and a Buen Camino, Peter.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Thank you Peter! You are from a wonderful country...spent some time there.

Hi I'm also a kiwi in NZ and planning to do the camino next year I thought to do it in May, although April would work to the only thing is I wanted to go from San Jean Peed de Port to Santiago so I guess that wouldn't work ..could always see you along the way tho ;)

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi to you all.

I leave Auckland on 1 April and will start from Le Puy after a few days acclimatisation in Lyon and Le Puy itself.

Depending on how often I stop to smell the flowers, I hope to be at Logrono between 10th and 15th May.

Hi Alwyn..shall see you along the Way then! I'm in Nelson so you never know, may see you before April ....Camino over a coffee or vino!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Hi, Jann! I really don't count as a Kiwi...But I lived in Taupo for 10 years and still have permanent residency, though I only manage to get back now once a year.
I start on March 22nd for 2 weeks. Mostly the departures seem to be happening a bit later and our paths won't likely cross but I will be very happy if I meet any of you (Alwyn, perhaps I'd see you if I walked in reverse...).
A heartfelt buen camino to all!

Hey, sure I will see you somewhere along the Way! That's the twists and turns of the Camino! Travel well...

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

On another post before I saw yours I talk about finding some (new) multi day trips.

Was in Christchurch last week doing part of their newly announced Christchurch 360 (140 km circular).

One of my wife's friends lives in Wakefield and I would like to do a catch-up with her and her husband.

When I have some plans I might PM you and see what suits.

….that would be great Alwyn... please do that! My cell..0212228250.(funnily enough, my father was from Wakefield). Am in Wellington for a couple of days at the very end of the month, so if you're in the city and you have time for a coffee, love to have a chat.
