Me and my wife will start on may 13th in Bilbao (probably) or Irun. Doubts are caused by the fact that the stretch from Irun to Bilbao seems to be the hardest and does not seem to be a very good start for a camino. (My wife flies home on may 31, after going with her to the airport in Bilbao I will stay 4 or 4 weeks to finish the Norte. I might take a bus than to Irun and walk to Bilbao then. I've heard/read that the Basque country is very beautiful.)

I started on April 20th, 2 years ago. I had basically great weather, so in May you should be fine. Buen Camino!
