Hello.
My friend and I have just completed the walk from Louarca to Santiago. It is a distance of 155 miles and I was just wanting to update current information on the Albergue at Miraz, prior to my
leaving this was a no no stop over and had really bad write ups, however, for the record it has been extended and refurbished to a good standard. Everything was immaculate and the people (Maureen and Colin) who were looking after it for that period were waiting on the new cooker to be installed, they had a small pantry where you could purchase food items, there were plenty of cups (unlike at Baamonde where there were only 2 !!) The showers and toilets were all new and the matresses of a much higher quality. It was simply the best we stayed in by far, so please bear this in mind if you are planning the Northern Route.
