October on primitivo

Hi my name's Peter and not liking heat i am planning to walk the Primitivo this October. Is this too late in the year to walk this route? Would I be better off walking it in March? Thanks for your help.

HI, Peter, welcome to the forum. I once started the Salvador/Primitivo in late September, so by the time I got to Oviedo it was early October. The route was fine, small numbers of people but always company if you wanted it. Leaving Tineo, we saw snow up in the mountains but it was at a much higher elevation. I think you are more likely to have dry weather in October than March, but who knows what surprises our crazy weather patterns have in store for us.

Hello!
I will start Camino Salvador in the midle of October and continue with Camino Primitivo. As you I do not like to walk when it is hot. Maybe we meet if you do not start your camino to early from Ovideo.

Yes that would be nice although I am still not sure when I will be walking as there are some upcoming commitments at home. Best wishes peter
