Only 5 Days

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
Marsha, that is a pretty tight time frame, but for a first timer, Sarria to Santiago would be my recommendation. This will give you a good taste of the Camino, will qualify you to receive a Compostela as well. After this 5 days you will possibly be hooked like many of us and wish to plan a longer Camino either on the Frances route or on one of the many other routes.

Wow that's tough! Like taking a kid into a candy store and saying you can only have one

If getting a Compostela is important to you, start somewhere 100+ kms from Santiago as suggested.

If not. Just start somewhere........and come back a few times more, to start off where you finished.

I agree with xrexer; start in Sarria.

Sarria is the place to start. It will give you a taste that you will never satisfy and will go back to do the entire Camino xxx Have a lovely experience

Thanks, everyone, for the guidance. I am also trying to figure out the best way to get from Lourdes, France, to Sarria, Spain. I will be ending a tour at Lourdes on May 18. Thanks.
